Look how serious I am

Amazing how getting glasses can make one look so much more intelligent and serious. We have obviously been told so often that geeks/nerds/brainy types wear glasses that when we see someone wearing them we think they seem smarter.
I tell you who does not seem all that smart to me, Jennifer Love Hewitt. This article about her made me laugh and then I have to say made me quite sad to be a woman. Why do woman feel the need to do this kind of stuff? I personally think Brazilians are going to far, this is sad and ridiculous.

  2. Vajazzling?
What is wrong with these women. They obviously don't understand men and what men want. (The whole underwear industry would be in real jeopardy if they did research (maybe they do and suppress it) on what men like. Men don't give a stuff about fancy knickers, g-strings, stockings and suspender belts etc. (unless they are weird). They just like naked women - particularly a naked woman whom they love.

  3. Hey, Curmudgeon, speak for yourself. In Christian circles undies still have a link to the ever popular chasty belt.

  4. Oh goodness,
I just posted my latest then came over here.
Talk about serendipitous synchronicity, I just did the post on Porn as seen in schools.

    Don't worry Fflur.
It's all done in the best possible taste.

  6. "To put in a hyperlink..."
I bet that FFlur won't be able to follow these instructions. Forget the underwear thing, a woman's brain is something I still don't understand after 26 years of marriage!
    Now, there's the real mystery.

  8. A lot of trouble in the world is caused by women leading men astray.

  9. An incident that took place several years ago in California illuminates what Jesus did on the cross in order to solve the problem God had with dealing with the sin of humanity. A young woman was picked up for speeding. She was ticketed and taken before the judge. The judge read off the citation and said "Guilty or not guilty?". The woman replied, "Guilty". The judge brought down the gavel and fined her $100 or ten days. Then an amazing thing took place. The judge stood up, took off his robe, walked down around in front, took out his billfold, and paid the fine. What's the explanation of this? The judge was her father. He loved his daughter, yet he was a just judge. His daughter had broken the law and he couldn't simply say to her "Because I love you so much, I forgive you. You may leave". If he had done that, he wouldn't have been a righteous judge. He wouldn't have upheld the law. But he loved his daughter so much that he was willing to take off his judicial robe and come down in front and represent her as her father and pay the fine.

  10. Crap.
He overstepped his judicial responsibility by interceding. He should have sent her to jail for the 10 days.

  11. I think what you all meant to say was: you look cool in your new glasses.

    Nice glasses.

    John-Paul (a long-time glasses wearer).

  12. Thanks JP, I read between the lines in all the other comments and concluded they were indeed all saying I looked good in my glasses. I don't have to wear them all the time, but when I do wear them I look good and smart!

  13. Jesus didn't need glasses but, who knows, maybe he was a little short sighted.

  14. Sorry I didn't mention your glasses Fflur. They make you look intelligent.

Sorry, I meant they make you look more intelligent.

Sorry, I really meant they make you look cool, not that you were't cool before, but cooler.

Is there a button i can press to get me out of this hole I've dug.

    Sorry.
